The Infrastructure-Automotive Technology Laboratory (iATL) opened today in Alpharetta, GA. with more than 200 public sector and industry leaders on hand.

The iATL™ will be located at Pope & Land’s Northwinds Summit development in Alpharetta. The lab is scheduled to open January 10, 2020.

The world’s first laboratory for connected and autonomous vehicles has opened in Georgia called iATL (Infrastructure-Automotive Technology Laboratory). The laboratory aims to bring the automotive, technology, and communications industry into the same laboratory. The newly opened Infrastructure-Automotive Technology Laboratory (iATL) in Alpharetta, Georgia, provides a hub for automakers, cellular network operators, traffic control device companies and semiconductor manufacturers to create, develop and test connected vehicle safety applications in real-world conditions. The 4,400-square-foot facility includes dozens of different types of electronic devices that control everything from traffic signals and school zone safety beacons to electronic crosswalks.
